American actor Jake Gyllenhaal spent last weekend at the site of last year’s volcanic eruptions, Eyjafjallajökull glacier and Fimmvörduháls mountain range, in fierce weather to shoot an episode for the survival television series Man vs. Wild, hosted by English adventurer Bear Grylls on the Discovery Channel and Channel 4.
Jake Gyllenhaal's action flick opens April 1 (just kidding!), and the early critical response is overwhelmingly positive — which is great, because it's been a long time since we saw him in a winner. We trolled around the Internet for some of the more the glowing write-ups of the movie and Gyllenhaal. Here's what we found:
"After his Goldilocksian casting misadventures in ‘Prince of Persia’ and ‘Love & Other Drugs,’ the role is an excellent fit — which is no doubt why Gyllenhaal grabbed the script for himself and brought it to [director Duncan] Jones." - Lisa Schwarzbaum, EW
"Knowingly futile as his quest is to save people who have already met their fiery demise and who also forget him with each flip of the hourglass, Gyllenhaal sells that personal sense of wish fulfillment with real heart." - Aaron Hillis, Village Voice
"What a relief to like a new movie with Mr. Gyllenhaal after a run of groaners." - Manohla Dargis, New York Times
“‘Source Code’ is an ingenious thriller that comes billed as science fiction, although its science is preposterous.” - Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun Times
"Gyllenhaal brings a sense of passionate belief and commitment to Stevens that "Source Code" could not succeed without." - Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times
Jake Gyllenhaal and Duncan Jones have been in Madrid breaking hearts. The most heard phrase about them was ” they are very handsome” and ” these guys do have education “. It’s true that they displayed both things and they were not conceited. They spoke, posed, signed autographs without declining the positive spirit they showed at all times.
And that comment is so true. They were really nice.
Y este comentario es totalmente cierto. Fueron muy agradables.
